Scale - Convert to meters and reduced it to 1 cm:

3 cm : 1000 cm             | GIven

3 cm : 10m                    | Convert 1000cm to 10m

1 cm: 10/3 m                 | Find 1 cm

Convert the dimensions to the actual:

7.5 cm = 7.5 x 10/3 = 25m             |  Convert 7.5cm on map to actual distance

15 cm = 15 x 10/3 = 50m               |  Convert 15m on map to actual distance²

Find area of the actual pool:

Area = 25 x 50 = 1250 m²              | Use the formula Area = Length x Width


Answer: 1250 m²
